welcome to Azure the law bringer the Sheriff the deputy hope you're excited as far as how many angles we're gonna keep on this one I guess technically this would be the deputy if we're doing the budget version of azure the law bringer if you would consider like a full build of azure maybe being like the sheriff or something so yeah nothing that sounds pretty good Zord the deputy so and also this is the first video I'm recording with this budget deck so hopefully fingers crossed it turns out to be pretty fun and let's go to get down how Mr depths that we can kind of look at the top three cards of our library and see how we want to kind of sequence this psychotic rift planes in the Zoras guild gates we definitely want to keep making our laying drops for the turn so let's do this let's go to go psychotic or if you don't really need that at this point right now just in case when you get down clue stone - let's put guild gate on top and the plains on top and then anything else we'll kick it back over to our podium we were playing as or the law bringer $5 Friday well this might be really sound Friday I'm not entirely sure but anyway it's five dollars flying we never saw enters the battlefield each opponent can't cast incident or sorcery spells during that player's next turn then whenever there's no more attacks you may pay stinks revelation if you do you gain X life and draw X cards play gets a lore Oh mr. lazy boy over there so lazy sits in his little chair and doesn't do anything let's gonna get down plays it's going to go for I gets failed war stone that allow us to kind of tap man for something actually it's gonna get down marble diamond we don't need the manor right now so we get that down or coming to play tapped and we'll be okay so if I get to Laurel at the beginning of your upkeep you gain to life and then whenever you gain life you may pay one if you do draw card each opponent loses one live then at the beginning of your upkeep if laurels in the commands um you gain to live so should be a very interesting match get control versus of control but like I mentioned this deck is five dollars this is everything that you would need to get started yeah basically magic online with some sort of blue-white control shell I kind of talked about some of the winning conditions that we do have here in just a second so how can we sequence this to where when you eat non clue stone if we get down failed war stone and make the land drop we can still get non clue stone I think it got like that yeah let's go to get down island because I'd be one two three yeah I was gonna get down a clue stone that's gonna be one two three and it will crack there Marsh flat so we'll see if they have some sort of counters counter action on that hopefully they don't okay let us come into play tabs let's go and tap down for a failed war stove there we go you down stone and then anything else we'll kick it back over to our opponents I'm actually doing pretty good on mana at this point will be turned five next time I'm looking at one two three four five six they'll be seven will speed you get the lane drop so if I actually put us on hopefully if we do drawn to another land and that'll put us on line for leaving up disallow but we'll see what we can do at this Lyell and they kind of start going from there but as far as the get like actual you know the basis the foundation of the deck this is basically just kind of blue white control you know we have a lot of counters in here we have stuff like ablation and oblivion ring to kind of deal with problematic permanence and different things like that psychotic ribs let's go and get down guild gate and that's gonna put us at one two three four five six that's gonna be yeah glimmer of genius and then disallow so let's just gonna leave that up it's gonna get down guild gate and I'll just gonna kick it over to our ponents so let's leave up disallow unfortunately we can't go for both at this point right now but at least we'll be able to kind of stop whatever they got going on or at least we'll kind of force some sort of counter spell out of their hand by going for glimmer of genius but yeah like I mentioned we're getting a ton of mana rocks in here because you're gonna be able to get down as or as quickly as possible and that kind of refuel your hands now when you're playing gates control you do have to be a little bit more careful as far as when you're getting down to Zoar because you know are prone to simply just making land drops and passing the term so we do have to watch out for that let's go and tap down for a glimmer of genius that's gonna be one two three four actually I really want that to stick to get that card draw going let's just go and pass the term we could have gone for that but I definitely want to have a backup on this a lot for that glimmer of genius I'm just gonna get go for cultivators caravan that's gonna be another manner rock for us and then we'll go and pass the turn to our opponent now we do have psychotic rift in the hand so we'll probably end up doing is at least just holding on to it at this point right now and we could bounce back propaganda as a little bit of a tempo play if he wanted to but we don't really have much of a board state developed and I feel I could be a little bit better if we go and hold on to it I'll see what our products could be tapping out for that would be a probably a pretty good opportunity to go for that and definitely will go for disallow that does put them on at least one mana counter so we'll see if they have it but I definitely like going for disallow there we go the mortal stone would be a really good way for them to get some additional card draw I was gonna get down planes and I feel do we want to get down as or this could be one two three four five six seven eight nine it's gonna put us at nine total mana and leaving us only three yeah let's go and go for a door they're not gonna be able to cast incent or sorceries yeah I'd like that a lot let's do that and let's go and tap down on fel warstone it's gonna go down as or the law bringing it I could be able to cast incent or sorcery spells and since we don't technically have a I was going to crew up the cultivators Caravan with Azure just love imagine Azure just sitting in that little cultivators Caravan as he is he crews it up it's gonna swing across for five to get rid of some of that to life that our opponent has gained and then yeah we're gonna pay to life on that one we're not really representing anything and I don't mind getting it for two points of damage or at least getting four five so well knock them down to 36 and we'll go and pass the turn back over there so they are sitting at only three cards in the hand we'll see if they have some sort of spot removal even if they do have some sort of spot removal with the source ability they're not going to be able to use it so hopefully once they pass it back over to our turn we can still tap out for a glimmer of genius to maybe find some sort of answer for us but we've completely tapped out so they can pretty much do whatever they want to do but yeah as far as extern goes we can probably go from grant arbiter to it wouldn't be that bad to kind of get some sort of tax going on our opponent now let's say that I put it does gain a bunch of live fat on this deck and this can be really hard for us to do that because we don't really have that big of a board state developed one thing that we do have is approach of the second Sun that's something that we can kind of use is all on target of wind condition especially in a deck like this especially we were plenty gets this problems gonna go for Lich's mastery a hex proof you can't lose the game whatever you gain live draw that many cards and whenever you lose life okay I guess if we want to yeah whenever you gain Life draw that many cards whenever you lose life for each one life that you lost exile permanent you control our card from your graveyard in your hand okay so that's gonna be basically just legendary enchantment and if we want to then it does have hex proof so that puts us online basically just going for cyclonic or if to get that back let me double check we're reading that correctly okay and whenever you gain Life draw that many cards whenever you lose live for each one life you lost exiled permanent you control or a card from your hand or graveyard that's gonna be a swinging it for six getting rid of a sick yeah I'm gonna start putting some pressure on that and kind of tap out from the zuhr the law bringer let's still put this online for cyclonic rift yeah I kind of like that but let's go on swing a crossroads or let's completely tap out to to refuel our hands we're gonna have to pay - on this one let's go and pay for on this one to draw four cards

before and we will be able to make the light over there we go approaches the second son okay we're gonna be swinging across for six it's gonna make them have to get rid of six per minute or at least six card three cards out of the graveyard three card down at the hand however they want to sequence that one so see how they want to do that okay so they didn't exhale their graveyard and I think one card yeah I think they exiled one lay into so we see at least saw one lad to get up and go grab my water bottle real quick okay so I'll put some down to 31 let's go and make the land drop for the turn I do we think it doesn't flooded plane either way it's gonna come into play tapped let's do that let's go get down flooded plane that way if we need that mana next time we can still have access to it then anything else we're gonna kick it back over to our opponent but you can tell you know this is a five dollar deck it's not going to do as good as some of the tier 1 decks out there but you can definitely see where it has a lot of playability and you know that's what I'm going for with these budget decks is I'm trying to target people that you know let's say that you're a red green player you never played a blue-white control shell deck or something like that and you want to try it out and you can build this you can buy the stack for five dollars and it has a lot of playability it's a lot of fun there's a lot of fun interactions so you know you're not gonna win every single game when you play a budget deck you know Magic's not one of those games to where the more you spin the more your win percentage is gonna go but it is one of those games that the more you spend the better chances is you have a view winning arm but you're not always gonna win you know we can definitely win against our opponent on this one if you get down approach to the second Sun kind of start digging a little bit deeper in our library that's another way that we can where we've got to watch out for some sort of counter spell all right but it's gonna go for vindicate on Azure yeah that's fun yeah let's take care of it but yeah like I mentioned it it's just it's a fun deck to pilot sometimes and makes there's some really interesting matches I get spinning especially decks like this so hopefully we can keep this pressure up on Lich's mastery and you'll be really nice to kind of get rid of their lands and with them only having really essentially the two blue sorcerers if we draw in do something like this enchant that will allow us to kind of take care of that as aureus signet really cut them off some blue mana but it's gonna get down pigging needle let's see what they do name more than likely it's gonna be that cultivators caravan that would be pretty smart name off of that cultivators I love this and this what makes magic so fun sometimes if we're flying he gets a Laura we get piggy needle on cultivators caravan which is just that makes oh it's just beautiful okay let's see what we draw into drawn to dis oh oh that's brutal okay and that's exactly what we needed we can't go forward so let's see so we're looking at one two three four five six seven eight nine so we're looking at nine total mana that's gonna be a sun-scorched region that's gonna be just enough to create cultivators caravan and put us on line for cyclonic rift and then disenchant which I do like so let's do this let's go ahead go for a disenchant on pithing needle because we don't want them to be able name that again and actually let's do it this way so we go disenchant on Missouri's Cigna it's gonna completely cut them off any sort of blue mana basically just sitting at watery grave actually do it let's go on crack flutter strand first and let's go and grab here get a farm lands gonna come into play either way it's gonna come to play tap so let's go and grab a at least another Plains let me double check our mana so one two three four five six seven eight nine it's gonna be one two three four five six seven eight nine okay I like that so let's go for disenchant on Azeri Cygnet let's go and go for cyclonic rift on pitting needle well what actually we're not gonna be able to pay to to kind of go for that I just now realized okay so we can still go get down some scorch region though yeah let's go and do that sorry I forgot about propaganda out there so that kind of changes it up just just a little bit we did take care of that blue man up go get down tranquil Cove we'll get that one life gains and then let's go and go for Grand arbiter yeah that's gonna be a little bit of a better play and the next time we can start working towards that pitting needle we can use that cyclonic rift okay that puts us online for telling time glimmer of genius we can still go for both of those all right yeah I liked a little bit better then we'll go and pass a turn to our opponent do we still want to go and get down son scores Regent though we can still get it down for four man up yeah let's go and do that

let's just go and pass the turn sorry that kind of threw me off that I completely forgot about propaganda and so that was one of those that you know I had it worked out my hand that we could disenchant on the Azzurri signet and then bounce the pity needle back to her hand with cyclonic rift and the swing in for a really nice Lich's mastery but unfortunately I I miscalculated on that propaganda it kind of threw me for a loop for a second so we still have some pretty good stuff that we can do in response to something we're gonna have that reduced-cost off grand arbiter we can still get down our commander tools actually we need to get the orb pop back up there we go but you still go for Azure it's gonna get around that kind of commander tax we can still go for telling time and we can also go for glimmer of genius so we also do kind of get into this position if we're going to go for approach of the second Sun one thing that we can do is hold onto glimmer of genius and telling time to kind of dig a little bit deeper into our library to find that approach with the second Sun a little bit quicker so that might be something that we want to do ponts getting dapper Maz and that will be actually they don't get a cat token when it enters the battlefield so okay now we'll be Verma's and actually now think about it I like holding on to glimmer of genius and telling time to go for approach to the second Sun to take a little bit deeper we're looking at cyclonic rift next turn and that's going to be now what we can do I want to try to make this as as brutal as possible what that Lich's mastery out there okay but it's gonna scoop it up on this one they had to go unfortunately I'm gonna go and post this video up now let me get that nigga to pull back up alright so I've got the game pulled back up and now I'm still gonna go and post this up because one of the things I want to show with these budget Dex's that's they can hang with other decks like this and our poet did have a weird built of alluro with that Lich's mastery out there but since we did drawn to disenchant on the notorious signa are opponents said they had to go but we were in a really good position to close this game out we had approach to the second son we can go for that to get that online with telling time we're gonna be able look at the top three cards of our library this can allow us to kind of dig a little bit deeper because I think approach to the second son yeah seven cars from the top and you gain seven life so with telling time that's gonna allow us to dig three cards deeper then with a glimmer of genius that's gonna allow us to actually scribe to those cards away and then draw two cards so that would have put us back online for going for approach of the second son pretty quick and especially with grant arbiter out there that would have been a win condition in itself right there and we did also drawn - I see your command so if that was something that we wanted to destroy our creatures with power you know for greater three or greater we could have taken care of a burma's if we needed to but long story short we did had our win condition in the hand with approach of the second stun and glimmer of the genius and yeah with them being cut off on blue main on that his always sitting there that really kind of put some pressure on them especially with cycling you know if we wanted to we could go for second degree of bouncing everything back to their hand that would allow them to kind of get out from underneath that Lich's master lock which is not something that I really wanted to do so with it being really tight on blue mana we probably would have gone for the approach of the second son and then I just dug with glitter of genius and telling time to kind of find it a little bit quicker because you know we're looking at that's gonna be seven that's gonna be six mana one two three four five six and then telling time is gonna be one blue mana and then glimmer of genius is gonna be three so we actually had more than enough mana to do with this term while they were only tapped out or I only had one blue mana up so that would have put us online for approaches the second son for next term which would have allowed us to win the game so there's our wind condition on that that would have putting them on having some sort of counter spell but since they scooped I would assume that they didn't have a whole lot going on over there so anyway you can't really see where a five-dollar deck like this can definitely hang and kind of get some pretty good six so we will jump in the live gameplay but it's still fun man I still want to show you what the deck is capable of and I don't want to scrap the game because I want you to be able to enjoy some magic so what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna give I guess well whatever this sort of commentary is not live comment it's live commentary cause I'm talking right now you can hear my voice but I'm gonna go through this once we get to turn six and I'll switch it over to the live video and it'll be good to go but yes we're playing the sword the LOB ring or flying enters the battlefield each opponent can cast in sorcery spells in that player's next turn then whatever's or tax you me up a sphinx revelation if you do you gain ex life and drugs cards plane gets healy odd god of the Sun the cleric god indestructible addition five turns into a creature other creatures you control a vigilance then for a form an activation create a 2/1 white cleric creature token now safari opening hey goes we had pretty good we had island and planes in their hand i Wesa telling time basically if we didn't have telling time I might have kind of shuffled this away but outside of what we had in our opening hand it was beautiful telling times can allow us to dig a little bit deeper a delay is a really nice counter and a matchup like this approach of the second son gives us kind of an alternative wind condition and then always nice having a you know I board wide and some sort of artifact and destroy our artifact enchantment destruction or removal so this is pretty much the perfect opening hand so we know keeping on this one past the turning of our opponent I meant to say I'm trying to figure out these controls there we go alright they kick it back over dries so at this point right now I get down planes and while I was covering Helion I meant to go for telling time so I missed out on that so it's like you can be like hot come on Joel and so as far as this one goes moving it'll be I getting down the planes we draw into route born defenses so I ended up going for telling time to later let's go and past the turn over our opponent there we go hit the play button so when I kick this works out a lot better so they go for a rune tail and I thought about going for delay but I was like yeah that's really not the end of the world that room tails on the battlefield and flips so we end up going for telling time off of that telling time there was a we hit the land drop which is nice cultivators caravan was put on top of library and then the manifest exile card was put on the bottom the one with them Mugen and I can't remember the name of it so I think on this one we get down the cultivators Caravan yeah you know cultivators Caravan which does put it keep us on line for delay we pass to turn back over to our opponent I'd let them do their thing I think they end up getting down yeah they go for banishing light on route they go for banishing light on our cultivators Caravan so then we've got returned to dust which is just like oh this is just working out beautiful so we end up casting return to dust we get back cultivators caravan and with no strong in to ponder that allowed us to get back cultivators caravan and make the land drop so that was a really nice swing I was really happy about that particular swing and we're about to get to turn six to where I think they get down yeah Catherines crusade we get down fell worst actually end up tapping down through - that's what it was so I was kind of debating on tapping down through nests or not and it's one of those things where I always forget that who Nash has you know enters the battle they can't cast instant or sorcery spells because I was worried about some sort of spot removal and so they're not finally I was like oh yeah they can't cast in sin and sorcery spell so I get down as orb and then our opponent does get down one of their creatures let me see Kathir screw Sade and I think this is where it picks back up in our video so I'm gonna end it right here it's gonna go back to live commentary once again I do apologize for not thinking the record button but it was a fun match and I definitely wanted to show you so have some fun all right so Republic's could end up going for a night captain and Cather's crusade getting that down with night captain of a OS it's gonna be a pretty good chunk over there now this one right now we do have playing her outbursts we can't go for the board wipe off of that but let's see all right so we drawn two islands gonna get down island and then yeah we can take a hit off of that at this point right now now if we swing in with Azure and get that's gonna be one two three four five six seven basically be able to draw four cards yeah I think I like that I put this on planer outburst in worst case scenario going for approach of the Sun or we could simply just cast approach to the Sun if we wanted to get that going you know what let's do this let's go ahead and go for yeah let's do this it's called swing across for six because this point right now I don't think about it if we catch approach to the second son that's gonna get shuffled into our library yeah I'm not gonna pay for that no we're gonna cast approach to the second son hopefully we can draw in a few more cards next turn will gain that seven life and then we can also kind of go for that digging a little bit deeper with Azure so knock them down to 24 that's gonna be six total commander damage just gonna go for approach to the second son we want to so we're at least gonna be able to gain seven life and then put it two into our library anything else no we're gonna pass he turned our opponent he and I do apologize you know I just now realized that I did not hit the record button earlier so if you're joining us on turn six as I edit the video this way you trying to figure out why we jumped in that yeah what happened is my opponent joined the game really quick and I didn't realize that he joined really quick and I'll try to get a setup before they quit and so um because you're away from Peter they tend to quit you know obviously that means that person's not ready to play the game or whatever so unfortunate that just did not hit the record button but I saw at the last minute but it's still a good game shaping up and so I still hit the record button I'll go back through later and kind of see what's going on it's gonna kind of speed you up on what happened playing your outburst yeah let's do this let's go and get down port town let's see if we can make the lane drop let's go and swing across fours or we can dig a little bit deeper and that puts us online for planar outbursts after that so let's go and tap down for Sphinx revelation that's gonna be a double blue and then white and go ahead and tap out for four oh yeah like that beautiful alright so we'll be able to go ahead and get down port town it's gonna come into play untapped and then we'll have to discard down the hand sides unfortunately but that's a pretty good options as far as what we've got going on we're gonna reveal an island out of our hand and then we're gonna go and pass the turn to our opponents so as far as what we're going to get rid of I guess at this point right now they should okay the shuffle something into their library to draw a few more cards off oblation and I guess at this point right now let's go and get rid of a drooling yeah I think I'd like to hold on to ætheling but at this point right now with who Nats just gonna give some value whenever he enters the battlefield Dawson's gonna get lost to get some more tokens we've got some pretty good stuff going in we're slowly working towards that second that I approached the second son but yeah you can definitely see where this deck is definitely a viable deck for only five bucks you know the only thing that really kind of keeps a lot of these five-dollar decks from being super super good is that they simply just don't have the mana base to support them so you do need to get a little bit lucky with some of your mana base you have some lands that come into play tap but outside of that it's still pretty fun look at that seventeen coming across this plane your outburst is gonna be really really nice and actually we can sequence it to where we got root born defenses and we give all of our creatures we can give Azure indestructible which is really nice keep his aura on the battlefield I don't like it we can't go for awaken to if we want to that's gonna be at four for now we're okay on that it's going to get down Island and then that's gonna be one two three eight nine that'll be exactly just enough for go for root more defenses let's go on swing across four six all right so swinging across for six that will put them at we're not gonna pay for swings we have on this one now and it's gonna put them at 18 total commander damage the other fun thing about Azure is that you know you're looking at a four turn clock with a commander which is you know it's not the best but it's still something to work towards in commander I was going to go for route board defenses and let's go for plane your outbursts and then we did make the land drop right and anything else weren't going past the turned our opponent maybe we could have gotten down failed more stone that turn but I was just really what's kind of saw the route born D for his plenary outburst I felt pretty good about that now we do have a show on the battlefield we took care of our opponents creatures that Catherine's Crusade he is still something we need to deal with but at least at this point right now on Halle Berry okay they're gonna take care of Azure and we did dig at least four cards deeper in our library with that Sphinx revelation that's one more so I think we're two away from approach of the second son so we'll see oh no nevermind we got it let's go get down that island let's go for approach to the second son oh yeah beautiful it's always nice to have an alternative wind condition like this and get an actual approach win there we go we're gonna win the match because we get to cast approach with the second son and there we go you know may seem a little cheap but they're going for these alternative wind conditions there's always a lot of fun and as you can tell you know we had our opponent at 18 commander damage sitting at twelve live so even if we don't run into the approach of the second son we've still got our pretty good clock on our opponent so definitely good game your opponent and sorry for the weird edit with the way that this happened but I still want to show it because it's always fun to kind of get the approach of the second son win and if you enjoyed the video like and
