[Music] hi everybody this is brings over again for handmade to Kentucky and uh today as you see we will be working on this pattern this is absolutely beautiful pattern that I got from a Japanese book and I will show you how I made this scarf with tassel okay and also I was because I really loved this this pattern so much I made a baby blanket so here is the blanket that I finished that I showed you already few times on my on my Twitter and online Instagram and maybe Facebook okay and this blankie across the cross it has nine repeats and it does have 2110 Rolly Peaks okay and my scarf that I finish has three repeats across and it has a 29 temporal repeats and also I put some tassels there okay so you can also put tassels on the blankie if you want to so for this project I have cast it on 55 stitches which is going to be distributed this way two stitches over here on this side are going to be four edge two of these stitches on this side are going to be for the edge and then I have three repeats in here three repeats of 17 stitches so 17 17 and 17 and then we will have repeats of ten rows okay so we will have in here I have three repeats of 17 stitches with two edges plus after that I will be doing ten our ten rows and I will repeat always those Rose okay so our set up now is going to be that we need to knit two rows so knit one row knit on the way back okay and then it will do two purl rows so then we will do again purl one row and purl back and those are our four rows that we need to set up okay so I will just start knitting my first row and I also would like to go and say that I usually slip my last stitch I do not need it but you can lit you can knit all your stitches you know first stitch and last stitch but what I usually do is like I said I donate my last stitch I just slip it and then when I have to knit my first stitch you know when I turn it out I just go and knit my first stitch through the back loop that's what I do but you know you can go and do it your way you can knit last stitch and knit first stitch your way okay so just knit two rows then I will show you how I slip my last stitch and knit my first stitch through the back loop except over here when I started I knitted the you know the regular way okay now as you see I'm knitting continental style but you can go and let your regular way your let me show you you can knit the English style which you just wrap yarn and pull it through you hold it in the other hand you know that's how the English people go and English nettles not be English knitters knit with the yarn in other hand we just wrap the yarn around the needle and Continental people and I also made it actually video about that you can go and search it on my channel Continental people people just grab the yarn in we hold yarn in D with our other hand okay but it comes out exactly the same alright Here I am coming to the end and I will show you what I do so like I said you have you have an option of knitting this stitch you know like you would go in just knit right all you have an option of taking this yarn forward toward your body and slipping that stitch without knitting it okay just move it from one needle from this needle to this needle alright and if you would go and knit a stitch then you would knit it again in a regular way but if you slip it you need to knit it through the back loop so this is going to be also knitted a row this second row is second row and I will knit all the way to the end except my last stitch okay

[359.379]
and I will see you when I finish with this role and we will power through those okay so I just move my young forward and slip it and what will happen on my edge is that I'm going to have over here like chain stitches look you know instead of those little knots on the edge I will have just changed stitches that's what happens I made a video about that as well okay now this role again I will start because I slipped my last stitch so I will start with knitting the stitch through the back loop okay and I will purl all my stitches all right so and this is again continental style purling okay and I will purl this row which is my third row and then I will purl another row okay and let me show it to you in English style so you know that it's exactly the same except that you hold yarn differently okay so you need to have yarn in front for purling right and just throw okay need to grab my yarn twice around my finger okay I know how to do it but I prefer really continued continental style because I am so much better at continent of style but you can Annette English style okay it does not matter how unit is continental the outcome is going to be exactly the same so purl two rows I will finish purling this this row and then I will purl one more row and again I will slip my last stitch and I'll show it to you as well okay these are my last stitches in this third row and again I will move my yarn over here I followed my next to last stitch okay and I just will flip my stitch without knitting it in the yarn is in the back and again I will start knitting my first stitch through the back loop and now I will follow this row again okay so just purl and you can use your English style purling every single stitch gets tired okay okay so we're at the end of our fourth row again with I will slip my stitch but you can purl it if you want okay and now we are going to start working and I forgot actually to put my markers in here in the fourth in my fourth row so I will have to put them in now okay so let's go and start counting our rows from beginning so this is going to be our first row of the pattern okay so I will I will knit first two stitches so I will knit my first through the back loop and then I will knit this stitch okay and I will put my marker that that's my edge okay now after after my edge which are knit knit okay we will do we will work this way we will slip slip and knit two together okay so the stitch is going in that direction okay now we need to knit six stitches so knit one and two three four five six then you do yarn over knit one stitch yarn over and knit six stitches again one two three four five six okay now we will knit two stitches together knit two stitches together okay I will put my marker in because that is our first repeat let me try to do it with a comma with English style okay so what we need to do is again slip slip inside there are the needle back in and the knit through the back loop right okay slip slip and it now we will knit six stitches so this is one two three

[714.62]
four five six then we need to yarn over then we need to knit we need to do yarn over and we need to knit six stitches again knit 1 2 3 4 5 6 ok and now we need to knit 2 together so we will knit 2 together ok and we will put our marker in again because that's our that's the end of our repeat so that's 2 repeats as you see ok edge 1 repeat to repeat and now this is our third repeat and I will do it again in a continental style which is slip slip insert the needle back in and mix through the back loop ok and now we will knit six stitches sort of one two three four five six yarn over knit one yarn over and knit six one two three four five six and knit two together okay you will knit these two together and we will put our marker in and we will let you can knit both stitches but I will knit one and then I will slip the last stitch okay now we will turn and this is our second row our second row is knitted this way we will knit through the back loop or knit or purl the I mean you would go and put on the side because this is a purl side so you would purl if if you knit the last stitch okay but I will knit my stitch through the back loop now I will purl this stitch purl move my marker and we will borrow these two stitches together okay so we have two stitches purl them together now we will pair up 13 stitches which means we will purl actually all the way to the last two stitches okay so you will follow all these all these okay and when you have two stitches left before your marker that's when we will go and do something else so purl 13 stitches

[945.269]
okay this is our yarn over which we will follow follow this stitch for our second yarn over from the previous row in purl let me see how many more I have to go and follow two more stitches okay now this is the trickiest part but I am sure if you do it really slowly and you're very careful you can do it it took me a really long time to figure it out to make it look really good on the other side so what you need to do is you will insert your needle in and take these two you know the put all eyes and take them off take them off okay so you basically don't need them but you need to actually turn these two stitches around to such position that you could follow them again okay so you need to take this needle and insert it from the right side and push it and this is how I do it I kind of pull this make so I make holes bigger holes right there okay so I can insert that that needle in alright you see I am getting in there so I I turn those stitches around okay now kind of separate them a little bit otherwise they would be kind of overlapping each other on the other side in the wrong way so once you turn those stitches around you will put all these stitches okay well total them okay why are we doing it so it's leaning the same way like when we're knitting it ah slip slip and the knit because it's leaning in a different way okay very good so now we will go and of our marker and now let me show you the whole process again in English style it's not going to be very elegant but you will understand oh people who need in the English style will understand it better so we need to purl two together another dealer way okay pirata - together now we will purl 13 stitches so purl 13 stitches okay all the way to the last two stitches in front before the marker in front of it okay oops see I'm not very elegant with this I am NOT but it's ok as long as I can show you your way so you can understand it better because all the stitches you know when I say purl and I'm doing it in continent style you throw your English way it still comes out the same way right almost there I wish I would be elegant like I am in continental style but what can we do ok let me see how many more so here is my marker and we have I have to put one more stitch okay now now we need to turn those two stitches at the end of the hour repeat on this side we need to turn them around so again I will put my needle and purl wise take them down okay stretch this so I can put my needle this needle back in from the right side and put it through both holes both stitches so they are turned around and separate a little bit okay and now we will follow we will follow our stitches okay so we go in again and we follow them okay very good that's it now I am going back to my continental style and we are going to move our marker and we will do our third repeat knit I mean it nut knit purl purl two together purl 13 stitches or all the way to last two stitches in our third repeat okay so we will follow all these stitches including our yarn overs okay hope our polo and let me see two more thorough and follow and now we have last two stitches left we need to turn these two stitches around so we take them off turn them around stretch this turn the mat out I separate them a little bit and then I purl them regular way just like I would purl regular stitches but I've turned around right move your marker thorough your edge either purl and flip or throw both okay our third row is done this way google knit for us two stitches you can you know if you again if your pearly if you put your last stitch then you need it through the front loop I flipped it so I will knit it through the back loop I will knit this stitch so that's my edge that's always the same way okay and now we will again slip slip and knit through the back loop and now we will need four stitches instead of six ago knit four stitches one two three four we will do 4 yarn-overs with three knitted stitches in between ok so it's going to be yarn over knit yarn over second time knit yarn over three throat yarn over knit and yarn over okay now we need to knit four stitches one two three four and what we will do is we will knit two together

[1427.84]
so this is our second repeat we will slip slip okay and knit through the back loop okay and I want it too tight but I don't want it I don't want it loose neither okay now we will knit four stitches so that's one two three and four and now again we will do 4 yarn-overs okay with three our knitted stitches in between so we'll do yarn over knit yarn over knit yarn over knit yarn over okay so yarn over knit that's one yarn over second yarn over and knit third yarn over and knit and fourth yarn over and now keep that yarn over here don't lose it otherwise you will not have the right number of stitches and now we need to go and knit four stitches one two three four and you should have two last stitch is left okay which you're supposed to knit two together okay so the last two stitches in our repeat are knitted together okay well let me show it to you one more time in my favorite continental style so slip slip let through the back loop knit four one two three four and now for yarn over yarn over knit two yarn over knit three yarn over knit four yarn over and now we will knit four okay so we have 4 yarn-overs let me go and show it to you ok one two three four okay and now we need to knit four one two three four okay after that we just go and knit two together we go and move our marker and we knit our edge so I knit and flip my last stitch this is our fourth row and again we will I will I will knit through the back loop and I will purl that's my edge and now we will again what we need to do is again purl two together here purl across two last two stitches and then we will go and do our little trick again with twisting those two stitches and purling them okay so purl two stitches purl all the way to last two stitches in this sequence in this repeat just thorough thorough pearl okay lower than all

[1683.99]
let me see how many more I have to put two more one two and I have now I have two left okay and I will again move them to this needle right here stretch it place my needle on the right side and go through the through the stitches to the left and if your lefty it's the opposite okay on the left side and go through the to the front to the right and now we go and let purl not knit purl purl this these two stitches together chi english-style move young forward so we can follow as we will purl two stitches together okay and now we will purl and purl and thorough all the way to the last two stitches

[1774.01]
two more two more images okay and now we have our stitches last two stitches before our marker and we will twist them stretch them twist there pull this down with the thumb Emma and your index and separate into now pearl okay and now one more repeat one more repeat and we are done with our fourth row so again we will purl two together in our third repeat now pull all the way to last two stitches of our repeat all the way to the marker those two last two stitches before the marker are going to be twisted and then purl okay so we're going to go in two more here we have two left before the marker right we will stretch them pull them down so we can get in there with our needle twist them and now we will purl them okay and we got purl and I will flick this is our fifth row so again we will knit our first two stitches for the edge move the marker and again we will slip slip okay and knit through the back loop now we will knit only two stitches okay knit and knit and now we will do eight yarn overs okay now you have to really make sure that you always have those yarn overs properly done okay so it's going to be eight yarn overs with 7 knitted stitches in between and then we will knit two stitches after our eighth yarn over and knit our last two stitches together alright so I'm not going to be counting the stitches that I will are knit in between the yarn overs okay I will count only yarn overs and then knit the stitch in between but I'm not gonna say knit okay so yarn over one that was our one okay one two three four five six seven eight okay and now I have to do to knit knit and knit okay so I started knitting it then I have those eight yarn over and after the eight yarn over knit knit okay and in between we did the knit stitch of each stitch right okay and now two together as we move our marker okay let's do this again in English style so slip slip and knit through the back loop okay now we will knit two one two and now we need to do those eighty yarn overs yarn over one okay now we are Nover for the second time and the knit stitch in between that's two three can it for into knit five and knit 6 knit 7 and knit an eight eight yarn over and now after you do a few on over don't lose it you do two next pitches one and two okay and again last two stitches before the marker get knit it together knit two together there okay okay move your marker and then we will again slip slip knit through the back loop knit two one two and now we will do ad on overs again with seven knitted stitches in between yarn overs yarn over one knit two knit three knit four knit five knit 6 knit seven knit eight hold it knit two one two one two and

[2182.2]
knit two together now let one and I will flip my last stitch and do you see I have that chain like stitches on the edges I don't have those little knots in between the stitches so that was our fifth row and we are starting our sixth row right now again on our purl side okay so again I will start my purl side with knit through the back loop and purl row for my edge move my marker okay and now I will purl two together now we have more stitches because of those eight yarn overs but will be a decrease as PC we're decreasing them over here okay so right now we need to actually purl all 17 stitches between after we decrease our first two stitches that means I did purl two together and now it falls with 17 stitches and you can count them one two three four five six seven eight nine ten one two three four five six seven okay 17 stitches you will and then we will do our twist and put all those two together okay but don't worry we will get rid of more stitches in our next row as well so we are always when we're starting new set new repeat 10 row repeat that we are always on the same that we have always same number of stitches okay ah we will not end up with more stitches than necessary okay so we will purl 17 stitches so thorough all 17 stitches and then we will do our duct twist and purl two together okay and I am going fast because you already know how to do the purl stitch you can always stop my video or slow it down too if you want to you know that I made as slow down how to slow down the video in settings YouTube settings okay so I am finished here with with my 17 stitches I didn't even count because I don't have to I know that I have 17 stitches there ah and I will twist my these two stitches because we are on on the purl side so I need to twist them and they are right before my next marker so we will if you I'm pulling it down putting my needle through twiddle them twist them and then separate them a little bit and then purl them together okay now we will put our marker over to the other needle and let me show it to you again in English style so we will for all these two ops I need to move my yarn forward if you're doing it English style you have to have yarn forward in here anyway so we will put two together now now we will furrow 17 stitches well 17 stitches until you have last two stitches left so you can twist them and purl them together okay so we are pulling all these stitches two more okay all right now we need to twist them we need to twist our last two stitches before the marker so I just stretch them a little bit pull them down in here and insert my needle twist them and now we will put them together okay and one more repeat okay so purl two together okay and now we will go and purl each stitch 17 of them one more okay and I'm again two stitches before my marker and we will stretch them move them pull them down insert our needle in separate them so that put nicely and cuddle them together in our edge burrow and slip now you know that you can go and do a lot you know this is going to be asked us but you can actually do like I did in my blanket many different repeats if you want why the scarf you could go and do for repeat okay or if you want I like a shawl you could go and do I don't know maybe seven repeat or five six seven eight repeat depending on how wide you want it okay okay this is our seventh row and in each section in here in each repeat we have actually 19 stitches so in this row we will even out all our stitches okay because we will go and decrease our first T's first two stitches right after the marker then right before and again right after the marker like we've been doing so far okay so this is going to be our seventh row is going to be about decreasing some more but we're not going to be doing any yarn overs okay we're just knitting in between so I will knit through the back loop because I slipped my last stitch and a knit my second stitch now I will do the same thing again slip slip like I always do on this side okay and knit through the back loop now I will knit all the way to the last two stitches right here so I will knit 15 stitches knit knit knit all 15 stitches okay so just need them just nip them on the way to your last two stitches before the marker marker which is right here and you will knit two stitches together so this roll is easy right and now we are back to 17 stitches in here okay so we have one stitch here one stitch here 15 in between that 17 stitches okay now I will show it to you again in English style so slip slip and knit through the back loop and now we will let all the stitches all the way to the last two stitches before the marker so we can knit them together okay

[2737.68]
we will let those last two stitches together after we need these 15 stitches

[2748.9]
okay so I have last two stitches and I need to knit them together okay and we will move the marker and I will finish with my continental style so slip slip knit 15 make 15

[2791.15]
all right here we are and knit two together and then we just knit and I slip my last stitch okay now we no longer do the decreases or yarn overs and we will just knit and purl our last our last three rows so I will knit through the back loop you can turtle if you are if you are knitting last stitch okay because the other purl side and then I follow this stitch and I will so that's my edge now I will purl my first stitch here of this first repeat purl okay now we will knit 15 stitches knit 15 stitches so that's one two three four five six seven eight nine ten one two three four five okay so that's 15 and knitted stitches and then we will pull all this stitch pull all this stitch we'll move our marker and again we will put all this stage our first stitch of our repeat now we will net fifteen stitches all the way to the last stitch before the marker like 15 stitches okay so net all these stitches 15 of them okay I don't have to count them because I know that I will have 15 stitches right before the marker okay but you always make sure that you have that you know stitches that are required in each row just in case you make a mistake with young overs because those are really sometimes easy to make mistakes with okay and now I need to so I met it 15 stitches and I need to pull my stitch my last stitch before the marker needs to be pulled okay and we will move our marker and again we will knit I'm sorry we will purl will purl first stitch needle stitching stitches in between and purl the last stitch okay so now we will need 15 stitches

[3027.67]
knit all of them and we will purl the last stitch of our repeat the last stitch in our sequence okay this is last stitch in our repeat and we will purl that stitch okay move the marker thorough and if you follow Perl I will slip so this is our ninth row so we finished our eighth row and this is our ninth row so we will knit and knit and now in between our repeats we will knit this one purl all 15 and knit the last one okay so knit and purl all these stitches sorry I will follow 15 stitches this is easy to understand what you're doing on this side because you can see where those when those purl stitches that you need it on the other side where they are

[3112.65]
okay one more C and now we have last stitch which needs to be knitted knit move over your marker and again english-style knit and now we've also hello hello 15 sketching all of them all 15 except the last one okay the last one needs to be knitted right before the marker

[3167.92]
I admire people who are really elegant when they are purling with English style or knitting with English style I would like to be elegant in both styles that will be so awesome ok here we are this is our last stitch which needs to be needed ok so we need to move the yarn to the back so we can knit ok oops alright so this is my last repeat in this ninth row so I knitted my first stitch I will purl 15 stitches total 15 stitches ok for all the 15 stitches and then we will knit our last stitch this bit before not between before the marker ok that's it and we have last stitch before the marker we need and we need the 1 after marker and I slip my last stitch so you see how it out looks pretty this kind of curls a little bit and it actually resembles a little bit this edge which goes up up a little bit - okay so we don't really have to create any other edge and this is our last row of a 10 row repeat okay so we will knit I will knit through the back loop and you pearl if you knitted your last stitch we will purl this stitch and we will purl actually all stitches this entire row is just pearl so pearl entire row all of the stitches okay Here I am at the end of my row that I wrote every single stitch except my last one because I slip it okay and so do many many repeats as many as you want then you still have to have one more last repeat of general not sandals but only seven rows and then we will finish it up together so as you see I have knitted Mineiro many repeat actually I made 28 full repeat okay and this is my 29th repeat and this is going to be also my last repeat and I am almost at the end of my ball okay and so far in my last 29th repeat this is what I have done I had those two years overs right in the first row went back purl the back that was second row third row was 4 yarn-overs fourth row was a purling 5th row was 80 and over and I pulled back and now I am ready to do my seventh row which is again where we will decrease here we will go we will do slip slip stitch and knit through the back loop knit all these and knit these two last stitches before the marker we will knit them together and then we will do two more times we will repeat this okay and then a and ninth rolls will be knitted completely different all right so let me go and do this row and you do your seventh row okay and then I will tell you how you will finish your arm eighth ninth rows and then we will bind off okay I finished my seventh row and I am ready to knit my eighth row and it's going to be done this way so I will start with my knit through the back loop before I slipped my last stitch and now I will knit every single stitch in the zone just knit each stitch there are no purl stitches in this row in a throw okay just knit every single stitch and of course that are people who need our English style they just knit this way right okay so just knit and knit and knit just knit all your stitches all the way to the end and when I finish with my eighth row which my very last stitch I will slip but if you're knitting all your all your end stitches then you do it that way okay you have your own choice I am finished with my eighth row where I knitted every single stitch and in this row we will purl all the stitches so if you knitted your last stitch also you will purl it I will knit it through the back loop and now I will purl all my stitches all the way to the end except my last stitch which I will slip you can actually start taking our markers out we don't need them anymore

[3566.45]
Here I am finished with my ninth row where I pulled it and this is going to be my last row where I will bind off okay so I obviously have to go and it first stitch through the back loop okay and then I knit my next stitch in a regular way and we will pass the first knitted stitch over the second now we will go and knit knit this stitch and then this stitch is going to be passed over knitted stitch okay so just bind off all your stitches and if you are doing it if you're knitting english-style you do the same thing basically right the only thing is that you wrap your yarn around your needle and then you pass that stitch over the knitted one okay so you need your stitch and then pass the stitch over

[3648.779]
and here you see how it looks after I bind it off okay and it's kind of cool just like where we start it you see the only thing is that we have this zigzag edge little bit different I am thinking actually about putting tassels on these points in here I don't have much yarn left over so I'm thinking actually I have like off-white yarn that I could go and use and mix it with my mix it with this green green yarn because I really don't have much of the green yarn left over so I think that's what I go do that I'll see how it looks when I mix it okay so this is this is all for today hopefully you enjoyed this video and maybe you are also knitted along with me thank you thank you thank you very much for watching my videos sharing them and I
